What is Shimoga Basket?

Shimoga Basket is Shivamogga’s own first and most convenient local online sourcing and delivery company for ordering quality and hygienic grocery and other household products that you need on a daily basis, directly from your mobile or any web browser.
We take not only utmost care in ensuring the quality of the products, in terms of processing, packaging and delivery to your doorstep, but also exceed in all statutory norms for grocery items.

What kind of products do you sell?

You can choose from over 200 varieties of products spread across various categories such as grocery, household products and many more. Grocery items include pulses, oils, grains, flours, processed food items, ready to cook food items and ready to eat food items. Our household items include garments, embroidered products, etc.

What cities and locations do you operate in?

Shimoga Basket currently operates in Shivamogga, and has an ambitious roadmap to extend our operations to all other major cities in upcoming days.

Do you deliver to my location?

Yes, we deliver across Shivamogga. You can view your location settings to check if we deliver in your area. If you don’t find your area listed in our delivery locations list, feel free to get back to us and we will try our best to accommodate it in our next iteration of delivery location extensions, as early as possible.

What is the minimum order value to qualify for free delivery?

The minimum order value to qualify for free delivery is as low as Rs 300.

Do you charge any amount or taxes over and above the rates shown?

No, we do not charge anything over and above the rates shown. However, we do have a delivery fee in case the order value does not amount to the minimum order value for availing free delivery.

Can I track the status of my order?

You can track the status of your order under the My Orders section of the mobile app or on the website at

How can I make changes to my order before and after confirmation?

You can edit your products in the cart before checkout. If you’ve already placed your order, you can cancel and update your order. The updated order will be reflected quickly both on the app as well as on the web.

How can I make payments at Shimoga Basket?

Shimoga Basket is an e-commerce enabled online portal and hence we accept multiple modes of payment. You can also make online payments using credit cards, debit cards, net banking, PayTM, and GooglePay.

How can I review my receipt?

We handover the delivery challan along with invoice to you at the time of delivery. You need to sign a copy of the delivery challan and hand it over to the delivery person. Also, you can look at your transaction history in the “My Orders” tab.

What If I want to return something?

If you’re dissatisfied with the products delivered, please register a complaint via the app within 5 Days for non-perishable items and 5 Days for perishable items. Our customer support team will get in touch with you to resolve this issue. You can also return the products, subject to the inspection report from our customer care staff, and we will replace the product promptly. 

What if I have any complaint regarding my order?

You can use the “Contact Us” section on the app/web. Our customer care executives are always happy to help.

How can I be sure the Food Grains and other products that I order are of good quality?

Our products undergo an extensive quality check process to ensure that the quality of the items delivered is up to the mark. Do let us know within 24 Hours if you’re not happy with the quality of the product received.

Is it safe to use my debit/credit card to shop on Shimoga Basket?

Yes, it is. All transactions on Shimoga Basket are completed via a secure payment gateway (RazorPay) which are PCI and DSS compliant. We do not store your card details at any given time.

I’m trying to place an order today but it is getting scheduled for the next day. What can I do?

Generally we will schedule our deliveries to 100% completion on the same day for orders that arrive before 1 PM. Orders placed after 1 pm shall be delivered on the subsequent day before noon. In case of any emergencies, you need to directly call our special customer care numbers to provide you with the earliest possible delivery to cope to your timing expectations on a case by case basis.

Can I schedule an order to my convenience?

Yes, we are pleased to provide this option at reasonable timings of the day. Please contact customer care and we will be happy to reschedule it.

What are your normal delivery times?

Our deliveries begin from 9 AM and the last delivery will be completed by 7:30 PM.

Can I change the delivery address of my order?

You can change the delivery address, with the addition of nominal charges for delivery for a different destination, as long as the destination lies within our list of delivery localities.

What if I don’t receive my order by the scheduled time?

Normally, we deliver always on time. However, on rare occasions, due to unforeseen circumstances, in case, if your order happens to be delayed, our customer support executive will keep you updated about the next possible time of delivery of your order.
